- On the SATA Filter 500 it is a simple installation. But those who are installing need to be sure not to install pipe nipples or threaded connections too deep into the filter. The recommmended depth is 0.51" or 13mm. By installing this fitting, with a built in teflon seal, no glues are needed, and it insures proper depth of threads. Common 1.2" fittings will easily attach to the filter when using this adapter.
