• The steel tubing is powder coated to resist chips and scratches
• The “ear” shaped grips are coated with a Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE), which combines the flexibility of rubber with the strength of thermoplastics, to provide a soft, yet durable surface that won’t scratch the vehicle’s surfaces.
• To provide a secure hand hold when expanding and rotating the hood grips, the 2 red handles are made from tough ABS
• The hood grips expand from 3' 11" to 6' 6" to securely attach to the hood of most vehicles
• Also rotate by ±20 degrees to compensate for various hood angles. The steel bar can be rotated, relative to the grips, to keep the surface of the bar parallel with the engine bay.
• Can support 6 pounds
• Each MAXXBAR™ consists of 2 symmetrical halves with a button-spring connector in the middle. This means that you can quickly and easily separate the two halves for safe storage in your tool chest
