- The tool slides between the cam tower and the cam lobe over the valve spring retainer, by pulling up on the tool the valve spring is depressed and the hydraulic valve lifter can be removed
- Also used to replace the hydraulic valve lifter
- Used with both turbo and non-turbo in the following engines: 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, 1989 and later, 3.0 liter 6 cylinder, 1991 and later, 3.5 liter 6 cylinder, 1995 & 1996
